Update on Sewerage Works 09/04/2021

Works Completed week ending 09/04
  • The primary settlement tank bases have now been poured. Once the concrete has cured over the next couple of weeks they will be ready for delivery of the Primary Settlement tanks
  • Brandyhall gravity main works have been completed with good progress made all week Brandyhall rising mains have been completed to just shy of the bridge with works progressing towards Brandyhall pumping station.
  • Hospital rising mains have been successfully tested which confirmed integrity of pipe and suitability for service
  • The road was closed at Foildarrig and works commenced with good progress made on Friday with 2 no. manholes installed
  • Reinstatement crews are currently finishing off the reinstatement of all road surfaces excavated by the pipeline crews at Brandyhall gravity mains and rising mains this week
Planned works for Week commencing 12/04
  • Shay Murtagh crew will be returning after their break to complete works to precast tanks at the plant
  • Works will commence to kiosk at plant
  • Works on the rising main at Brandyhall to continue across the bridge section
  • Foildarrig gravity main installation will continue
  • Testing will be completed to Brandyhall rising mains once installation has been completed
Upcoming Significant Works;

It is planned that rising main pipelines will commence later next week starting at the square heading west

It is planned also that the deep section of gravity pipework starting at the end of the Pier and hitting towards Supervalu will commence the week starting 19th of April. This is by far the deepest section of pipework in the project, progress rates will be slow here due to the volume of excavation required.
