Wild Atlantic Way Run


Saturday 30th of June

Race Starts at 2pm Sharp on Saturday, 30th June 2018

€12 entry fee.
Under 16’s go free and must be accompanied by an Adult.
Registration on the Day from 11am to 1:15pm in the grounds of St. Peter's Church.

Prizes for the following categories in the race:
Overall 1st, 2nd & 3rd - Male & Female,
1st Over 50's - Male & Female,
1st Junior's (U16) - Male & Female.
A Bespoke Medal will be presented to all finishers.

5-mile Road Race;

Beginning in the bustling port of Castletownbere, the run will head East down the main street, along the R572 Road and then left at Brandyhall Bridge taking the picturesque route up Derrymihan towards Rodeen. The Route will be a tough uphill run for the first 2K, but you will be rewarded with some magical glimpses of the Wild Atlantic Way & Berehaven Harbour before heading back down hill, returning to Castletownbere via the R572 with a short loop of Dinish Island and back to the Square.
There will be refreshments served in the grounds of St. Peter's Church afterwards for all the participants & of course for our brilliant volunteers!
